Testimonials from ex-tennants

Forbes

Thank you so much for making my new start in Bristol an enjoyable time and being brilliant landlords!

Checking my account i am fully paid up till the end of may, so have stopped my standing order for tomorrow which would have paid for June's rent.

Please let me know if I need to do anything else.

Regards,

Forbes,

I am giving my notice that I will be moving out of the devonshire road house this Friday 3rd April as I am being sent on secondment to Germany. My visa finally came through so it's all being sorted finally!

It has been fun living there!
Thanks for everything.

Renee - April 2009

Dear Forbes

After one year and a half of very good time at the 171, I just got an excellent job opportunity back in France (Toulouse) and will leave the house at the end of April.

Will talk to you soon.

Magali - April 2009

Dear Forbes and Zoe

I am writing to give you the required one months notice on my tenancy agreement for my room in 80 Coldharbour Road. I will be moving out on 1st November 2008.

I've had a brilliant time living at number 80, and I've made some really good friends - so much so, I'm actually moving into a smaller flat with Jane who also lived in the house with me!

I'm not moving very far - just a little bit further along Coldharbour Road! - so I'm sure I will keep in touch with my friends from the house - and still be able to attend all of the house parties!

I also just wanted to say thanks to you all - I moved to Bristol not knowing anyone in the city and through the shared house I have managed to make some true friends and I've had a great time living there - I just hope the next person to live in my room enjoys their experience of number 80 as much as I have!

I will be able to drop my keys off on Saturday 1st November to Alison if that is convenient for you all?

Many kind regards, Jen - November 2008

Hi Forbes,

After 3 great years in the house, my time there is coming to an end. Please could I therefore hand in my notice with effect from 17th August 2008 when I will move out.

Please could you confirm receipt of this email and let me know of anything which I have to do!

Thanks again

Sarah - July 2008

Hi Forbes,

I hope you are both well. I am writing to inform you that I plan to move into a new flat with a friend of mine at the end of July & am therefore now giving you the required one month's notice of my departure from number 80, with my final day in the house being Tuesday 31st July.

I would like you both to know that I have enjoyed living at number 80 for what will be 15 months, but I feel that it's time to move on and settle down a little more permanently! I am not moving very far from Coldharbour Road and hope to maintain the friendships I have made in the house.

I would therefore like to thank you for everything & wish you both the best for the future.

Kind Regards,

Laura - July 2009

Afternoon Forbes,

After an amazing 19 odd months in 93 Devonshire Road (93D) the time has come to move on to other things and so I would like you to take this Email as my formal notice for the 27th July 2008.

I'd like to thank you for being a great landlord and for setting out such a good living environment, you really have got a good thing going. I've got a new job in Ghana working as a field technician for a year. It will most likely only be for a year so I will no doubt I will be looking for a place to live afterwards... You may well hear from me in a years time looking for a room!

Once you lived in a Forbes house nothing else will do!

I will be vary sad to leave but life must go on!

Kind Regards

Neil - July 2008

Dear Forbes,

I'm writing to you to give notice of leaving my lovely room at 17 Devonshire Road. I'm moving on to pastures new in Westbury-On-Trym. I have a moving date of 24 August (four-and-a-bit weeks) and so will require my deposit of £555 by that date.

I would like to say that I've had a brilliant time living at 17 Devonshire and will always have fond memories of Westbury Park. You've both been great landlords / agents (delete as appropriate) and I wish you both well for the future.

I will, of course, help out in any way that I can with showing people round my room, and will leave it in good order. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Regards

Toby - July 2008

Hi Forbes

I'm sorry to notify you that i will be leaving in a months time from now. I want to thank you for everything. I've really enjoyed my stay here and do feel sad to be leaving :-((

Many thanks

Liz ( no. 5 ) - July 2008

Dear Forbes

I hope you are well.

Forbes, it's sad for me to do that but I would like to give a notice. I left company I was working for in Bristol 3 weeks ago and joined another down here in Hove (do you have a room for let in Hove?). I have been commuting for last 3 weeks but it's really long way so I have to move permanently.

I have been really enjoying you as landlord, all housemates and of course the house ;o))

Can you please reply me to confirm you are happy wit that and you know I will leave at the end of September.

Please let me also know how does it work - ie key, deposit etc....

Thank you and have a nice weekend.

Tomas - June 2008

Hi Forbes

Due to personal circumstances, I am giving a months notice to move out of 5 Howard Road from today, 29th November. I have enjoyed living at Howard Road and should the need arise, I would like to get back in touch in the future.

As I understand it I paid a months rent in advance as a deposit when I moved in, does this mean I should cancel my standing order for December's rent?

Best Regards,

Tom - March 2008

Forbes

As I mentioned to you last week, I am handing in my notice for 173 Redland Road. My last day in the house will be Monday 29th December. I have greatly enjoyed my last 15 months in the house, so will be sorry to move on.

Regarding my room, I think Vicki would like to move into it. We're already advertising to fill her room, but if you want any changes to the rent (for her or my room), please get in touch with her.

My new letting agency should be contacting you regarding a reference over the next week.

Regards
